Pat Duggan

I was born and raised in Manchester, England. When I married, I moved to Derby, England. Fifteen years later, in 1985, I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where I lived first with my husband, Ted, then after his death, with Barbara. In 2000 we moved to Newport, Oregon. Then, in 2015 we sold the Newport house and bought a motorhome to travel around the country. We had a wonderful time visiting lots of places and making lots of friends. Then, six years later, I had a heart attack which marked the end of our traveling days. We returned to Ohio and bought a home close to family. My first book, Finding God in an RV records the miracles we experienced on our first journey across the country. This book together with my next book, The Power Within, are non-fiction books about my life and about life 'on the road.' My next book, Murder at Eagle's Nest, marked a complete change of direction for me as it was my first venture into the world of fiction. As a longtime lover of murder mysteries, with a passion to follow plots and figure out the perpetrator, I decided to try my hand at weaving my own story. I have always been detail orientated and as such like to tie up the 'loose ends' in my stories. Murder at Eagle's Nest featured two amateur sleuths, Hazel Davies and Anna Kohl. As I enjoyed the writing experience, I have continued to place Hazel and Anna in a variety of unusual circumstances across the United States. In my next novel, Could They Be Twins, Hazel and Anna were invited to Lebanon, Ohio to investigate a suicide. In the third book in the series, Murder at Serengeti Plains, the two amateur detectives discover a body on a new residential building site in Centerville, Ohio. My latest book, Murder on the Columbia Dredge, took Hazel and Anna back to my time spent in Newport, Oregon. Here they solve a murder on the dredge ship which clears the sand out of the shipping channel each year. This enables the fishing fleet to continue using the harbor to land their catch. Although I have just published Murder on the Columbia Dredge, I am already considering Hazel and Anna's fifth adventure. I cannot give too much away at this time but it might involve television!
