Patricia A. Davis

Patricia A. Davis is the Managing Director of Davis Financial Services in Mitchellville, Maryland. I am a former corporate financial executive who is now a personal finance expert, veteran author and speaker. I teach and advise individuals and couples, nationwide, at all stages of their financial lives, about the laws, rules and realities of the money game and how to play it to win. I have provided financial literacy education and training to hundreds of adults and children. I was educated at Howard University (B.S. mathematics ), cum laude; Stanford University (M.B.A.), Top 1%; Golden Gate University (M.S. Personal Financial Planning), Top Student Award; Georgetown University (Stonier Graduate School of Banking and Finance), with distinction. I also hold an Executive Award conducted by the National Institute of Credit held at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. I am a former White House Fellow, have appeared on radio, tv and podcasts and speak frequently on the topic of financial literacy. I am the author of three adult financial primers: 1. The Washington-Post endorsed "Mimi, Money and Me: 101 Realities About Money Daddy Never Taught Me but Mama Always Knew," 2. "Money Secrets for the Sandwich Generation (Squeezed in the Financial Middle)" and 3. "Going Broke is No Joke! 52 Money Tips Everybody Should Know" (which hit Amazon's Top 100 on its first day of issue). I am also the co-author, along with Dr. Charlene Day, an experienced health/wealth literacy specialist, of a four-series money primer aimed at children and youth from 2-18 years old. It's titled, "The Money Adventures of Grandma Deer and Her Grand Deers." In Book 1, "Penny Learns About Pennies." This book introduces the reader to the sassy, no-nonsense but gentle Grandma Deer who is teaching her youngest grand deer, Penny, about pennies--what they are, what you can do with them, how to count them, and why you should save them. Other books in the series will broaden the family by having Grandma Deer educate Penny's siblings, 'Lil Buck and Doe. Book 2, "'Lil Buck Learns About Saving Bucks" will be out by early Fall.
