Patricia Rhodes

Hello everyone, my name is Patricia Rhodes. My friends call me Pat. You might call me a “late bloomer”. At 87 my name has just been added to the list of published authors. My first Children's Book is "Mack the Mouse”, how exciting. You could also call me a procrastinator because I started writing my children’s story after my first two grandchildren were born. They are now 33 and 31 years old. I live in a retirement community and needed to do something to keep my mind active and thinking. Finishing my story was just what the doctor ordered. Peru, Indiana is my hometown. While a student at Indiana University, I studied voice and theater. My college choir, The Singing Hoosiers, participated in a USO tour to Japan and Korea. Singing and acting were major activities in my life. I enjoyed performing major roles in our local community theater and writing and performing one woman shows for local organizations. My local library gave me the opportunity to serve on the board, which was very fulfilling. I am a widow and have 2 children, 6 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
