Paul Dekmetzian

I live in Melbourne, Australia, and was engaged with the Australian Army between 1973 and 1981, first as a School Cadet and then as a young Private at Monash University Regiment. This connection sparked the interest of a lifetime. I have been in finance and business all my working life; I am a grandfather of eleven and an active member of the Victorian Military Vehicle Corps (VMVC), where we display all manner of military vehicles including Model T Fords, Jeeps, Land Rovers, Blitz, International and Mack trucks and many, many more. As part of the VMVC, I’ve witnessed first-hand how excited people of all ages get when they see these historic vehicles, both on the road and on display. The positive effect of these vehicles should not be underestimated and they are indeed historical markers that should be preserved for future generations. Paul Dekmetzian.
