Paul Fleming grew up in Aintree, north Liverpool. In the gaps between studying Law in Preston, London and Chester, he backpacked widely, busking around Spain and France with a guitar and, later, after achieving a masters degree in Business Law, travelling though India, Malaysia, Thailand, China and Australia. He returned to England and embarked on a career as a litigation solicitor, marrying and settling in Southampton and, later, Chichester. He was always a writer, penning travel journals and short stories but putting them to one side to devote his main time and energies to lawsuits, advocacy and bringing up his son and daughter, adopted during a trip to Ethiopia. After semi-retiring, he has found time to publish SHEBA'S BURN and LUCULLAN in 2022, GASSELLO in 2023 and the third and final part of the Lucullan trilogy, BELLEROS, in 2024.
