Paul Johnston Sr.

Paul Johnston Sr. is an American author and poet who writes entertaining stories from a Christian perspective. His stories usually have an unexpected twist and are known for keeping his readers turning pages. The language is clean and mild, but the characters are often lively while the plot moves smoothly forward. Mr. Johnston's earlier works were all written in a simple screenplay format designed to give the mental impression of watching the story play out on the big screen. Finding that there are a large number of purists that prefer to read in a novel format, he wrote two books that were an anthology of related stories, previously written in screenplay format now expanded and revised and written in the novel format. PEARLIE JANE'S SOUL FOOD KITCHEN VOLUME 1 AND 2 are the titles of those releases. Also released was ARROGANCE AND DECEIT a two novel package containing the new novel format versions of Davey, Bullied to Extremes, now renamed Davey's Deception, and Arrogance in Lincoln County, Mr. Johnston's most successful book to date. THE GENEALOGIST was written originally in novel format and contains some of the same characters as PEARLIE JANE'S SOUL FOOD KITCHEN. After about five years of writing, this author has produced thirty published works in both fiction and nonfiction categories. Mr. Johnston was born in 1952 in the village of Frenchburg, Kentucky, but moved with his family to the Middletown, Ohio, area at age seven. He is an honors graduate of both Middletown High School, Middletown, Ohio, and Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Many of his fictional writings are set in Middletown.
