Paul V. Allen

Paul V. Allen is a researcher and writer with a special interest in documenting the lives and works of creative people in the fields of children's books, comics, and music. His first book, Eleanor Cameron: Dimensions of Amazement (University Press of Mississippi), features a foreword by Gregory Maguire. His second, The Hopefuls: Chasing a Rock 'n' Roll Dream in the Minnesota Music Scene (McFarland), won a Certificate of Merit in the 2019 Association for Recorded Sound Collections Awards. Paul was born in Kentucky, grew up in Illinois, spent many years in Minneapolis / St. Paul, and currently resides in Normal, Illinois with his wife, two sons, two cats, and way too many books, comics, and records.
