Paula Neall Coleman

For 16 years, Paula Neall Coleman served as the executive assistant to the founder and president of a biblical counseling ministry in Oklahoma City. She now lives in Kansas City and leads Bible-based small groups while writing, speaking, and teaching about how, for the Christian, understanding the truths about God and "being yourself" as a "new creation in Christ" is the answer to many of the painful struggles Christians face. Paula contended with compulsive overeating from the age of eight and felt horrible shame and guilt over her constant defeat in this area, especially when in her 20's and 30's she worked in Christian ministry. When a friend was hospitalized because of an eating disorder, Paula felt she was heading in that same direction. After months of Bible study, prayer, and reading, Paula began to experience total freedom from obsessions with dieting, weight, and crushing personal standards. This freedom has continued since 1986. Since then, her passion has been to share freeing truths with others.
