Peggy Sweeney-McDonald, President of Superstar Events-LA, Creator/Producer of "Meanwhile, Back At Café Du Monde..."shows, & Creator/Editor of the Meanwhile, Back At Café Du Monde...Life Stories About Food coffee table book featuring 67 of the Louisiana food stories, recipes and pictures published by Pelican Publishing. She is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and resides in Los Angeles with her husband, James McDonald, a stockbroker. Her high level of creativity produces unique and memorable red carpet, non-profit and corporate events. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and worked in film, theatre, commercials as an actress for more than 25 years. She is the host of Savoring the Sweetness, an internet food talk show. She is developing southern film projects, including a television pilot of the "Meanwhile,..." show. She was the Associate Producer of the acclaimed play addressing human trafficking, Innocent Flesh, at the Zephyr Theatre in Hollywood, California in 2012. She was a presenter at the 2012 Louisiana Book Festival and the 2012 Faulkner Society's Words and Music Conference. She has been the featured speaker at the Culinary Historians of Southern California, Women of Infinite Possibilities and is a favorite of Surfas Culinary District stores in Culver City and Costa Mesa, California where she demonstrated southern specialties from the book and shared her food stories. The Meanwhile, Back at Cafe Du Monde... show has been presented at the 2013 Chili Pepper Extravaganza, the 2014 Louisiana Police Jury Association and the upcoming University of Southern Mississippi's 2014 Passion of the Palate.
