Penelope Anthias is Assistant Professor of Human Geography at Durham University and holds a research position at the University of Copenhagen. She has a BA in History and English from Cardiff University, an MA in International Relations from the University of Sussex, and an MPhil and PhD in Geography from the University of Cambridge. She completed her book, Limits to Decolonization, during a postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, Berkeley following several years of independent and doctoral research on indigenous territorial claims in the Bolivian Chaco.
