Peter Farnham

Peter Farnham lives in Glasgow, Virginia, with his wife Barbara and their two beagles. He has two adult children: one living in New York City, the other in Alexandria, Virginia. Peter grew up in Alexandria and attended the public schools there. After a 3-year hitch in the army (Peter is a Vietnam combat veteran), he received his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Iowa. Peter worked for more than 30 years as an advocate for federal science funding, especially in the area of biomedical research. He retired in 2010, and now spends his time traveling, writing, singing and playing guitar, and acting in local theater productions. West Heads Home is his first novel.
