Actor, author and producer Peter Sherayko has appeared in over 50 films, 100 television shows and 50 stage plays from Tombstone to Cody: An Evening with Buffalo Bill. Peter was one of the executive producers on 2015's Bone Tomahawk. So far, Peter has produced seven shows with three more in the works, written five books and created a CD of poetry. Peter is a bit of a character, well known for his Western look, cigar in hand and dog by his side. Additionally, Peter wedded his passion for entertainment and American history to form Caravan West Productions, the largest and best company to bring quality to the Hollywood Western and provide today's demanding film audience with the most authentic product possible. Together, they provide multiple services for films, television and commercials, including a 2400 acre ranch location, historically correct props, sets, costumes, and horses. Sherayko is recognized as historian and author, appearing in numerous Wild West Tech episodes for the History Channel and serving as technical consultant and supplier to both History Channel and Discovery Channel. He technical advised several films and stunt coordinated six. A body of Western related programming on both sides of the camera draws upon Peter's knowledge of the nineteenth century up to the 1920s to supply the weapons and props demanded by numerous film makers for their historical re-creations. A member of Western Writers of America, hHis first book, Tombstone: The Guns and Gear came out in second edition in the fall of 2010. Lauded in Flayderman's Guide to Antique Weapons as one of the 100 books every collector should have on their bookshelf, the book grew out of his work on the Western film classic, Tombstone. Peter researched the weaponry of every character as he designed the firearms he provided. His company Caravan West Productions coordinated the saddles and the Buckaroos, and Peter portrayed the character Texas Jack Vermillion, one of his better known roles. The Fringe of Hollywood is his second adult nonfiction book. Peter has also written three children's books, The Travels of Oso and Neo based on his favorite horse and dog, its sequel, The Travels of Oso and Neo: A Horse of a Different Color, and The Travels of Oso and Neo: A Helping Paw. The taped version of his one-man show, Cody...An Evening with Buffalo Bill was performed in a chataugua and was among the top finalists in the Santa Clarita International Film Festival when produced. He also released a CD At Your Service and hosted Varmint Media's The Guns of Billy the Kid. The State of Nebraska awarded him the Buffalo Bill Award for Achievements in Family Entertainment. As a member of the U.S. Air Force, he served with the "last of the flying tigers" (the 75th F.I.S. A.D.C.), working as a radio disc jockey in Virginia before returning to college to receive a B.A. in Theatre and an M.A. in Communications. Peter resides in Agua Dulce with his wife Susan and their menagerie of horses and dogs.
