Peyman “Pay” Khodabandehloo dropped out of an education in the physical sciences to pursue the study of media at Boston University. He experienced the digital transformation of the print industry both as a photographer and photo finisher, then as a software vendor. He worked in visual effects using pre-Photoshop workstations, both as an operator and later as a software product designer. He jumped ship for the dotcom ride and worked in a series of influential startups, followed by long stints in a broad spectrum of financial services companies. Pay brings media theory and complexity theory into computer system design. He has multiple patents in design methodology and supporting technology. He works for himself in Boston MA and consults in the areas of product design and product design management in large enterprise software.
