PhD Matt Candeias

My name is Matt Candeias and I run In Defense of Plants, an internationally recognized podcast and blog about plants. I was raised in the forests of northeastern North America and I am obsessed with botany. I am a community ecologist by training with a strong focus on plants. When I’m not reading, writing, or talking about plants, I am usually hiking and photographing them or trying to grow them in and around my home.
