Phil Blattenberger

关于作者

Phil Blattenberger is an anthropologist, traveler, and filmmaker hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina. At the age of twenty-three, disenchanted with the empty pursuit of wealth, security, and a corporate career, he followed his existential crisis to its natural extreme and abandoned everything. He quit his job, sold his belongings, and moved to Australia with a backpack and a bicycle, in pursuit of knowledge, experience, something visceral, something ...pure. It was this bohemian escapade that led him deep into the desolate Australian wilderness, the cloud forests of Southeast Asia, and, ultimately, an undying love of travel and adventure. Since then, Phil has completed a master's degree in anthropology and visited more than thirty countries, producing cultural ethnographies, oral histories, films, and a multiplicity of books. Once he almost fell of a mountain in Scotland, reaffirming, to this day, that he is still an existentialist.
