Philip J. Ivanhoe

Philip J. Ivanhoe (艾文賀) (PhD Stanford University) is Distinguished Chair Professor in the College of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea. He is Director of the Sungkyun Institute for Confucian Studies and East Asian Philosophy (https://swb.skku.edu/sicep/index.do) and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Confucian Philosophy and Culture (http://jcpc.skku.edu/). Professor Ivanhoe specializes in East Asian philosophical and religious thought and its potential for contemporary ethics, politics, and social theory.
