Pip Harry

Pip Harry is an Australian author, copywriter and journalist who lives on the coast in Sydney. Her acclaimed verse novel The Little Wave won the 2020 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award for Younger Readers. In 2023, her middle grade novel August & Jones won the CBCA Shadow Judging Book of the Year, voted entirely by Australian school students. Her debut picture book Over or Under? with illustrator Hilary Jean Tapper is out now, followed by The Inside Dog with illustrator Carolyn Davis. A YA verse novel, Drift, is out in July, 2025. Pip works as a copywriter for a national youth homelessness organisation and writes for various media outlets. She is passionate about supporting emerging writers and encouraging literacy and reading in young people.
