Preity R. Kumar

Preity Kumar (PhD York University) is Assistant Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Rhode Island. Her monograph, An Ordinary Landscape of Violence (Rutgers University Press 2024), is the first ethnography of same-sex loving women in Guyana examining the profound and dynamic connections between affect, violence and queerness.
