Puva Arumugam

Dr Puva Arumugam is a Singapore born Indian playwright and poet. She wrote her first play in 1998 and has written a total eleven plays out of which ten have been staged in both Singapore and Australia in various theatre festivals. Puva completed her PhD in Theatre and Cultural Studies and has been an avid supporter of performing and creative arts for the past two decades. Apart from being a full time single mother of two wonderful girls, Puva is also the Artistic and Creative Director at Gemz Creative Arts, a Centre for Performing and Creative arts that serves as a platform to enhance creative talents within individuals. Puva has helped to publish two books by young authors under the age of ten and is now working with more children to have their creative works published.
