Quentin F. Veit

关于作者

Quentin F. Veit (1931 – 2004) grew up on a farm in central Missouri during the Great Depression. After earning a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1954, he was employed as an engineer for almost 40 years. He is the author of four family history books. His writings document not only genealogy and family trees, but also illustrate the way of life from times gone by, using anecdotes, unexpected details, and a bit of humor. Quentin was a true Renaissance man, always having a variety of projects going on in his workshop or office, including researching, writing, wood-working, crafts, and building and repairing almost anything. He was a man of convictions, deep faith, and a certainty that there was a solution to any problem a person might face. He balanced this with an ability to find humor in the oddities of how things are in almost any situation. Quentin and his wife Joyce raised nine children and had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, making his home a gathering place for his large family to stay connected.
