Attorney R. Davis Younts is the founder and owner of R. Davis Younts, Esquire, LLC. He represents military clients worldwide and provides criminal defense services in state and federal court in his home state of Pennsylvania. He is a 1999 graduate of Liberty University, and he earned his Juris Doctor in 2002 from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Military Operational Arts and Sciences from Air University in 2012. He has been recognized for his trial advocacy skills by in-duction into the Order of the Barristers, receipt of Air Force Judge Advocate General’s School Association of Trial Law-yers of America Trial Advocacy Award, and was rated as the number one Senior Defense Counsel in the Air Force in 2011. In September of 2001, he was a law student at the Dick-inson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. On Septem-ber 11th, he was on his way to a class on Tax Law when he heard the news that planes flown by terrorists had hit both towers of the World Trade Center. The events of that un-forgettable day prompted him to dedicate his legal studies and career to defend the freedom of all Americans. After graduating from law school, he became an officer in the United States Air Force. As an active duty JAG, he served as a prosecutor, a defense attorney, a command legal advisor, and a senior legal advisor to deployed commanders and general officers. He also served as the Chief of the Military Justice Division at the Air Force JAG School and served as an editor of past editions of the book The Military Com-mander and the Law. He continues his military service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves.
