关于作者

R. G. Huff is semi-retired from 40-plus years of music ministry in local churches in Texas, Colorado, and Missouri, most recently serving University Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, NC. A native of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, he graduated from Carson Newman University with a major in biblical studies and minors in music and art; he holds a Masters of Church Music from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. R. G. is a published hymn-writer, lyricist and composer and has written extensively for professional magazines. He is an adjunct professor in the College of Fine Arts at Dallas Baptist University. He is also the creative director of Waxahachie’s Old-Fashioned Singing Project and maintains worshipRx.com (a resource site for planning traditional worship). The new part of his retirement adventure is publishing activity books/coloring books for children, teenagers and adults... most with faith-based themes; some are just for fun! He and Carlita live in her hometown of Waxahachie, Texas – about 30 minutes south of Dallas. They have two adult sons/daughters-in-law: Clint/Sherry, Dustin/Brittany] and four grandsons [Kyle, Carson, Jude and Silas]. He loves traveling, reading, visiting museums, attending movies and live theater… and riding roller coasters. R. G. has a real passion for congregational singing and enjoys sharing that passion with church groups and choirs in workshops and retreat settings as well as in worship.
