Rob Draper, ACS, is an internationally acclaimed Director of Photography with just on 50 years experience, known as an innovator and an early adopter of high-definition and digital cinematography. Beginning his career in Australian TV news in the mid '70's he was part of the ENG revolution, he moved on to documentaries, commercials, and features, working with major studios like Universal, Warner Bros, and Sony. With numerous Awards to his name, his work includes the Sundance award-winning The Spitfire Grill, as well as Tales from the Crypt and The Street, which helped shape modern TV visual styles. He has worked with high-profile actors such as Patrick Swayze, Burt Reynolds, Michael J Fox, Stanley Tucci, Martin Sheen, and Ellen Burstyn. Rob has also contributed to the development of Arriflex and Fuji Film products and has worked with Sony and Panasonic to advance HD then Digital technology. Known for his engaging workshops, he has taught cinematography worldwide, mentoring the next generation of talent.
