Rachel Florence Myer is the mother of two young boys, whom she finds daily inspiration from for her stories. She has always had a passion for storytelling and holds a BA in Creative Writing & MA in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. She believes in the power of reading with children to promote bonding, creativity, and speech and language development. For Rachel, inspiration for her debut children’s book struck one day after seeing a speech-language pathologist with her son for many months. Since then, her mission has become to design books that help ALL little ones—speech delayed or not—learn and vocalize words to better express their wants and needs, creating both fun experiences for little ones and helpful tools for parents and caregivers. While she’s not stomping around the house as a T. rex or working toward bringing her stories to life, Rachel enjoys leading the Pennsylvania Chapter Board of the nonprofit Gift of Adoption and playing tennis.
