Raja Bhowmik

Hello, This is Raja Bhowmik. My academic and job career has been full of turns and twists so far. I had my interests in different subjects like Maths, Biology, History, Mythology, Astrology etc. and was really confused to choose any one those during College days. Ultimately I chose Zoology Hons. But, it was full of physical dissection sessions which were not of my interest. Very soon the obvious question started daunting me that why the hell I chose this subject! This was surely not my cup of tea! However, there was no scope of going back. Somehow I had to complete graduation. Those have been some romantic and confused days and I was slowly realizing that I am going nowhere! My father might have understood that he has to treat his donkey some other way round and one fine evening he came up with a form of a computer centre. After few months, I had some direction of my life. Programming languages started attracting me a lot. After completion of my Diploma, I was referred to a job from my centre as a computer programmer. I was not aware that it would not take even a year to completely change the course. I suddenly got an interview call for a profile never thought of and got the job at an MNC! It was a supply chain profile. I had no other choices than to join considering mostly the financial aspect. After settling therein, I decided to continue my studies on two subjects – Management and Astrology. I did so over the years and secured degrees like MBA and Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management along with Jyotish Shastri, Jyotish Bharati (Degrees on Astrology). Initially I was looking after mostly the Logistics section under Supply chain but later I was more into Purchasing and studying on Management practices and International Business processes. Another job change I made in 2009 to join India’s number 1 storage battery company. On 2011, I got an opportunity to get a transfer (previously applied for) to come back to my city – Kolkata with an Export marketing profile and grabbed it instantly. I was offering Astrological consultations over the years but this time started it in a full-fledged professional manner in my spare time after duty hours. Since Vedic Astrology and Mythology are inter-connected subjects, I took interest and studied a lot on both. Some of my articles started publishing in local magazines on these subjects. It gave me the confidence to write a book on Sri Ganesh after extensive research and to publish at Amazon. I have my desire to write many more books on Mythology, Astrology, Management, Novels and even Thrillers as well because today what I like the most is studying and writing. Keep well.
