Ralinda Watts is an educator, DEI consultant, practitioner, and writer known for her authentic voice and passion for celebrating identity, culture, and community. As the founder of RalindaSpeaks, she creates content, fosters meaningful conversations, and leads professional development workshops that inspire connection and belonging. Ralinda’s work reflects her deep commitment to uplifting voices, stories, and experiences, especially those of the Black community. This is her first children’s book, written to share the joy of Kwanzaa with young readers and families. Ralinda earned her M.Ed from Columbia University, where her research focused on recruiting and retaining faculty of color, workplace dynamics at the intersection of race and justice, and the Black@social media movement. She is a writer, thought leader, and regular contributor to numerous publications like POPSUGAR. Her expertise has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, where she has been quoted as an authority on these issues.
