Randy was born in Boston and his family moved to Southern New Jersey while he was still young. After high-school he spent the next 20 years serving his country in the ‘Air National Guard’. In his book, Randy shares lessons that took him twenty-five years to learn. He grew into the safety professional and held key positions in government and corporate America. In 2007, he joined Toastmasters International and shortly thereafter, he was awarded Toastmasters’ highest designation (Distinguished Toastmaster). Two years later Randy was awarded the designation of Qualified Speaker (Q.S.) and in 2009 he began studying the speaking profession and started speaking professionally in 2012. Since then Randy Powell has become a transformative leader turned professional speaker, coach and author, who empowers individuals and organizations to unlock their extraordinary potential. With over 25 years of experience in leadership roles at the U.S. Government, Miller Brewing Co., Northrop, and Fleetwood Enterprises, Randy brings real-world expertise to his keynotes and specializes in personal and professional development, innovation, and collaboration.
