Randy Stertmeyer

Randy Stertmeyer is a product of the Midwest, born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Miami University, Oxford Ohio with a BS degree in Education. While there he played varsity baseball and did some writing for the student newspaper. He then obtained a MA degree in History from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Randy had a successful career in sales and marketing. He held several executive positions in the building materials field including serving as President and CEO of Green River American Hardwood and SureLock Industries. He also acted as the COO of Communicators International, Inc, a global advertising/public relations firm. Upon retirement, Randy turned his attention to writing. He published "The Chrome-Plated Years - Almost True Stories of Growing Up in a Magical Time" in 2020. It is a compilation of short stories encompassing the Post WWII Years, that paints a detailed portrait of youth in the 1940s and 1950s. His new novel, "Billy Boyd - Bonus Baby" was released in January 2025. In large part, it too, is a period piece, set on a college campus in the mid-1960s. This coming of age story is filled with humor, romance, and an array of interesting characters from a bygone day. As a grandfather of 6 granddaughters, an earmark of his writing is an array of strong female characters. This is especially true of "Billy Boyd - Bonus Baby." Stertmeyer resides in the Villages, Florida with his wife Peggy.
