Randy Sullivan is a physical therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, researcher and author in Motor Learning and Skill Acquisition, and the founder and CEO of The Florida Baseball ARMory. In 1986, Sullivan earned a BS in Physical Education from The Citadel: The Military College of South Carolina, where he played baseball and was named a GTE-CoSIDA First Team Academic All-America catcher. Captain Sullivan served as an officer in the United States Air Force for ten years. After five years as a Nuclear Missile Launch Officer, he earned a master’s degree from the Army-Baylor Graduate Program in Physical Therapy and was named the Associate Director of Physical Therapy at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. In 1996, he left the Air Force honorably and opened a private physical therapy practice, Sullivan Rehab Services, in Brandon, FL. He raised and coached three sons who played college baseball, with one going professional. In 2011, Sullivan combined his greatest passions, baseball and physical therapy, by opening The Florida Baseball ARMory. Sullivan has worked with thousands of baseball players of every age and experience level. He has coached sixteen first-round draft picks and over fifty Major Leaguers. He has been a paid player development consultant for dozens of Major League teams and has worked in some role with coaches and players from every MLB organization. Internationally, Sullivan has consulted with the CPBL (Taiwan), KBO (Korea), NPB (Japan), as well as the Dutch and Italian national federations. He has written and published eight other baseball training books, over 100 blog articles and has produced more than one hundred instructional videos on baseball player development and baseball strength and conditioning.
