Born and raised in Ventura, Ca. Ray played baseball through college before pursuing sport psychology in graduate school at Boise State University. His writing career began in New Zealand when a friend lent him her house for a month to lay the foundation for what has become: The High Ground Series. Based on his sport psychology background, Ray enjoys bringing the reader into the mind of the main character to experience the mental game in real time.
