Raymond K. Bennett was born on October 12, 1965, in New York, USA. From a young age, he demonstrated a passion for literature and ancient history, cultivating a particular interest in world religions and sacred texts. After obtaining a degree in Religious Studies, Bennett continued his education, earning a PhD in Theology and Biblical Studies. During his years of study, Bennett became fascinated by the ancient texts and religious traditions of Africa, particularly Ethiopia, one of the first countries to adopt Christianity. He spent several years traveling and living in Ethiopia, studying ancient manuscripts and local oral traditions. These studies led him to discover numerous biblical and apocryphal texts that were little known or entirely unknown to the Western public. In 2010, Bennett published his most famous work, “Ethiopian Bible in English Complete 88 + 2 Books: Discover the Hidden Deuterocanonical Apocrypha, Enoch, Jubilees, and The Lost Secret Texts.” This book represents a turning point in the study of Ethiopian Scriptures, offering an accurate and accessible English translation of sacred texts that include not only the canonical books but also the deuterocanonical and apocryphal ones such as the Book of Enoch and the Book of Jubilees. Bennett’s work has received wide acclaim from both the academic community and the general public. He has been praised for his meticulous translation and his ability to historically and culturally contextualize the texts, making them understandable to modern readers. In addition to his translation work, Bennett is also a prolific writer of academic articles and has given numerous lectures worldwide, sharing his discoveries and enthusiasm for the richness of Ethiopian religious traditions. Raymond K. Bennett currently lives in London with his wife and two children, continuing his research and translation work. He is involved in various academic projects and collaborates with religious institutions to promote a greater understanding of Ethiopian biblical traditions.
