The Read With You Center for Language Research and Development exists to provide engaging educational content to spark a lifelong love of learning. We are a team of professional writers, illustrators, linguists, and educational experts passionate about making education fun and effective! Our books spring from a creative spark: a skilled writer develops the story, which is brought to life by a talented illustrator. From there, each book is analyzed by our team of editors and linguists, who fine tune language teaching elements like grammar and vocabulary before incorporating the book into our leveled learning system, a design driven by 70 years of research on how children acquire language. Our process is thorough and selective: less than 5% of submitted stories make it through development! At the heart of the Read With You curriculum is our collection of flagship series. These unique books teach learners important linguistic goals by focusing on specific features and providing over 30 examples within the story. For example, a young reader enjoying the silly adventures in I Am a Chef is also learning about plural nouns and actions words. Educators and caregivers can easily use these books as effective teaching tools by using our provided parent’s guides at the end of each book. For even deeper dives into specific skill sets, Read With You offers a wide array of supplemental series that explore tough subjects like grammar, writing, phonics, and more! We believe in our curriculum because we know it works. Each of our books has passed through at least 100 hours of testing by a professional educator, guaranteeing they are parent, teacher, and child-approved! The careful leveling of content, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and analysis tasks means your students are always learning something new without being overwhelmed. Furthermore, Read With You offers lesson plans and curriculum materials for each of our series, taking out the prep work so teachers can focus on what they do best: educating our youth.
