Rebecca E. Hirsch

Rebecca E. Hirsch has written more than 90 books for young readers, including PLANTS CAN'T SIT STILL (Maryland Blue Crab Young Reader Award, NCTE Notable), RISE TO THE SKY (Bank Street Best Children's Book of the Year), and WHERE HAVE ALL THE BIRDS GONE? (Kirkus Best Teen Book of the Year). A botanist by training, she loves inviting children and teens to discover the world of science and nature. Besides reading and writing, Rebecca enjoys planting gardens, raising chickens, and exploring the outdoors.
