Rebecca Phelps is the author of the hit Wattpad Books young-adult novel DOWN WORLD. Published in spring of ’21 after winning a Watty Award for best young adult fiction, DOWN WORLD is a coming-of-age story about grief, love, healing…and portals to other dimensions. Distributed worldwide by Macmillan USA, Penguin RH (UK), and Raincoast (Canada), the book was chosen as the Once Upon a Bookclub YA book of the month for March ’21, as well as the Get Lit(erary) with Wattpad Books first-ever book of the month in April ’21. Wattpad Studios is currently developing the book as a TV show. The sequels, YESTERWORLD and EVERWORLD, will be lead titles for Wattpad Books in winter ’22 and winter ’24, respectively. Before becoming a novelist, Rebecca was a screenwriter and actress. Her adaptation of Mary Downing Hahn’s beloved children’s novel THE DOLL IN THE GARDEN was optioned by Cole-Abbitt Productions.
