Dr. Rebecca Small is a board-certified physician specializing in advanced skin rejuvenation techniques and outpatient medical aesthetics utilizing cosmetic botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, and lasers. She is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical School (https://profiles.ucsf.edu/rebecca.small), where she teaches both the Plastic Surgery and Family Medicine residents’ outpatient aesthetic procedures. Dr. Small co-developed the mandatory 2-year outpatient aesthetic curriculum within UCSF Medical School Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Core Surgical Curriculum (PRSCSC) that she delivers via quarterly skills labs. She is an invited speaker that has developed both didactic and hands-on aesthetic procedural training curricula for national academic conferences and leads hands-on workshops attended by physicians, nurses, and physician assistants, all while running a successful medical spa practice, RSMD Medical Aesthetics, (RSmdMedSpa.com) on the Central California Coast, in Santa Cruz, California since 2000. Dr. Small is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and holds a Masters from the University of Cambridge in the UK.
