Regis J. Flaherty

Regis Flaherty, now retired, was a retreat director, a speaker on lay spirituality, a best-selling author, and former host of the radio program "To Know, Love, and Serve Our Lord." He has over 40 years of experience in Catholic outreach programs, including leading retreats and days of recollection, campus ministry, men's fellowship programs, pro-life efforts, teaching the Faith, evangelism work, and social ministry. Rege's book credits include Jesus Is the Gift:The Spirituality of Advent and Christmas; The How to Book of Catholic Devotions (co-author with Mike Aquilina); God's on the Phone: Stories of Grace in Action; Discovering the "Awe" of the Mass; The Sacraments: The Seven Wonders of the Spiritual World; Death, Where Is Your Sting? A Catholic Approach to Death; Last Things First; Catholic Customs: a Fresh Look at Traditional Practices; Catholic for a Reason III: Scripture and the Mystery of the Mass (co-editor with Scott Hahn); Catholic for a Reason IV: Scripture and the Mystery of Marriage and Family Life (co-editor with Scott Hahn); and The World's First Christmas (co-author and co-editor with Mike Aquilina). He and his wife, Libbie, are contributing authors to Catholic for a Reason IV: Scripture and the Mystery of Marriage and Family Life. His articles have appeared in national and diocesan publications including: Lay Witness, Celebrate Life, National Catholic Register, The Pittsburgh Catholic, Catholic Vision, The Catholic New World and Our Sunday Visitor. In addition to hosting his own radio program, Regis has appeared on various radio programs on Relevant radio, Ave Maria, Radio Maria and EWTN. He has also appeared on television programs including, EWTN Bookmark and The Abundant Life with Johnnette Benkovic. He is a frequent speaker to Catholic gatherings on the topic of lay spirituality.
