Growing up in the vibrant landscapes of Louisiana, inspired by the country life, family, and the rich culture of Louisiana. I developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and its ability to inspire art. Now residing in the breathtaking Colorado Mountains I find myself impressed in a new world of inspiration. As an experienced furniture artist, I wanted to embark on a new creative journey, transitioning from the tactile world of furniture artistry, to the enchanting realm of storytelling. Leading me to create a series of storytelling coloring books, activity books, and matching storybooks soon to be published. Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains, sparked my imagination and inspired my first series with the creation of Aurora Moonstone, Gemstone Hunter. As I spend time on the hiking trails, amidst the beauty of nature, I imagine the Old West in a time of the Bust Gold Rush, mining and uncovering hidden treasures like sparkling gemstones and unique minerals I might find along my path. It feels magical, creating a passion for adventure and exploration. Aurora, with her adventurous spirit and insatiable curiosity, embodies the thrill of these explorations, as she journeys through enchanting landscapes in search of rare gems, driven by the beauty and mystery of the Earth’s creations. Her character reflects not only my love for the outdoors but also the rich tapestry of adventures waiting to be uncovered in the natural world. This evolution ignites my desire to engage a broader audience, inviting both children and adults to explore their imagination, inspire creativity, and join me on these adventures. Each page becomes your part of the journey with vibrant colors and serene hues of your choice, encouraging playful expression and sparking joy in the hearts of those who read and color them.
