Renuka Susan O'Connell

Renuka Susan O’Connell is an author and a visual artist whose life’s mission is to kindle the fire inside others and to connect with community. She has co-created mural paintings from Cambridge MA, Nashville TN, to Rockland ME and has shown her work in numerous galleries and museums in the US. She is a ‘Play’ facilitator designed to draw out one’s authentic creative abilities. She has been a student of Jack Grapes’ Method Writing since 2019 with Jules Swales. She has written articles in the Maine Arts Journal, the Chocolate Church: Coffee Table Book, the anthology: A Different Story: How Six Authors became Better Writers. Her first poetry collection, Cosmic Collect Call: Appreciate the Mystery; Poems about Life was published in 2024. Renuka was mentored as a creativity coach by Kate Ransohoff and held groups in the Boston area for nine years. There, she owned an artisan’s gallery for thirty years. Renuka is married to Michael B. O’Connell, a musician composer, and owner of Expanding Sky Studios in Brunswick Me. They love the area for water and nature. Renuka enjoys a good walk, meditation, reading, music, get-togethers with creatives, and the local Farmer’s Market.
