Rex grew up in a motorsport family. His Father drove Rally Cars and his Uncle was the Australian Hill climb Champion and also raced Formula 5000's. Rex raced motocross from 10 years of age racing in America and Australia. He then went on to race in karts, Formula Fords and Sports cars before becoming a Data Engineer in V8 Supercars. Rex progressed to become a Race Engineer and eventually Chief Engineer of several race teams. In 2008 Rex moved to the UK and has worked in British Gt, British Touring cars and several other categories of racing. Currently a lecturer at the National College of Motorsport in Silverstone, Rex is the author of the “How To Be A Race Engineer” series of books.
