Rex Robbins has worked at a career as an environmental engineer assisting industries, cities, and environmental groups. He devotes much of his time to the family's 50 acres and cabin located along a beautiful tributary of the Buffalo River. As a freelance writer, he has written articles for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and the Aspen Times, as well as numerous technical articles about environmental engineering and flyfishing. His current book, Trials & Tributaries - Notes from a Sacred River, follows his journey down the entire length of the Buffalo River in the Ozarks of Arkansas in 2012. He is currently working to compile the lessons learned from a 45-year career in environmental engineering and the softer lessons from living close to the land in the Ozarks.
