Rhonda Lauritzen has been a full-time professional author since 2017 at Evalogue and teaches weekly classes on how to write compelling true-life stories including memoir, autobiography, and family history. She regularly speaks at international conferences like RootsTech, is a podcast guest, and does keynotes at family history events. Rhonda was selected as the outstanding graduate in her major at Weber State University. She then earned an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Utah. She also served a three-year stint as CEO of her family’s business, Mineral Resources International. When she decided to venture out on her own, she became the marketing director and then a vice president for the Ogden-Weber Technical College for more than a decade. Rhonda lives with her husband and daughter in rural Weber County, Utah (outside Ogden) where they have chickens, honeybees, and a large garden. They often enjoy camping and other outdoor activities. Her most recent book is A Child in Berlin: The Poignant Story of Heidi Posnien and Her Mother During the Fall of Germany. It was published by Post Hill Press on October 28, 2025. Her next book after that is co-authored with serial entrepreneur James M. Sweeney, entitled Creative Insecurity: Lean into the Unknown and Unleash Your Inner Misfit. It will be distributed by Simon & Schuster with a release date of December 10, 2024, published by Post Hill Press.
