Ricardo Rosselló is passionate about reform, the science of longevity, and statehood for Puerto Rico. He is a researcher, entrepreneur, tenure-tracked professor, former governor, and current congressional delegate for Puerto Rico. His experiences in the intersection of politics, policy, business, and science give him a unique perspective on a variety of critical issues. Facing fiscal, economic, natural, and social crises as governor, Rosselló embarked on significant structural reforms on healthcare, education, energy, labor, and government, among others. He spearheaded the reduction in the size of government by 20 percent, achieved the largest municipal bond restructuring in US history, and led two major emergency responses, recovery and rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of the largest natural disaster in modern US history. He is the first person elected to an official position in Puerto Rico through direct nomination (write-in for congressional delegate). He is the proud husband of Beatriz and father to Claudia and Pedro.
