Hello World! What an incredible opportunity to shake hands with the rest of the planet and share a short portion of my rather long life with you. I was born into a military family, which cast the dye for the rest of my life. This book has lived inside me for 50 years, and I finally have the opportunity to share more than a few of my military experiences. I have attempted to humanize a soldier, no matter what country he is from, by reaching deeper into the psyche of that person, without blood and gore, but with introspection, humor, empathy, and the deeper emotions that many of us still carry long after our experiences in a theatre of war. I have written my memoirs in short story fashion, so you can pick it up easily without remembering multiple plotlines. Every story is true, without embellishment.
