Richard M. Schickel is a 33 year veteran of the Internal Revenue Service. He was a Senior Revenue Officer responsible for collecting Income and Social Security taxes from wealthy individuals and large corporations. He successfully worked a variety of collection cases and retired in December 2013. He was also an IRS Instructor, Coach and in his off time authored an internal IRS book called the Asset Recovery Guide which IRS adapted as the Financial Analysis Section of the Internal Revenue Manual. He was awarded 66 awards from the IRS and the Treasury Department for his work. As a tax collector, he was also a bill collector, psychologist, credit counselor, loan officer, auctioneer, marketing specialist, marriage counselor, financial planner, social worker, paralegal, mediator, asset evaluator, negotiator, judge, jury, and enforcer. He become an IRS licensed Enrolled Agent (licensed nationally by the I.R.S.) and founded RMS Tax Consulting LLC in Chicago and Tucson, Arizona. He continues to serve taxpayers who are in trouble with the I.R.S. His tax book series includes "I.R.S. Whistleblower." "What to Do When the I.R.S. is After You," and "Now is the Best Time Ever to Owe the I.R.S." published in fall, 2021.
