Writer, photographer, and editor Richard Truesdell has spent the past 30 years contributing features and columns to automotive and travel magazines. These include National Geographic Traveler, Motor Trend, Motor Trend Classic, Car and Driver, Road & Track, Musclecar Enthusiast, Cars and Parts, Mustang Monthly and many additional titles. In the UK he has contributed to Octane, Classic and Sports Car, Classic Cars, Mercedes Enthusiast, Classic Mercedes, Classic American and Jaguar World. Other overseas titles include Carros (Holland), Automobiles Classiques and Retroviseur (France), MMM (Germany), Supercar (Romania) and many more publications around the world. He served as editor Car Audio and Electronics, drawing in more than 20 years in the mobile electronics industry. He also served as the launch editor of Chevy Enthusiast and combines his passions for automobiles and travel as co-founder and editorial director of Automotive Traveler and its companion website, AutomotiveTraveler.com where his interactive 2005 trip from London to Maranello in a Ford GT and Dodge Viper remains his signature feature. Richard first book, Hurst Equipped, was co-authored with good friend and fellow AMC enthusiast, Mark Fletcher. And since 2012 he has self-published more than a dozen automotive photo books covering major concours event throughout the United States. Having owned a number of special interest and exotic cars and armed with a passport that now includes more than 25 visas, Richard will go almost anywhere to drive a great car on the perfect road.
