Riddhi has been in the music industry for more than 20 years. His musical journey starts from childhood. His mother, Smt. Gargi Sanyal is a well-known Rabindra Sangeet singer and learnt from Legendary Suchitra Mitra at Rabithirtha. Grandmother, Smt Tripti Saraswati was a classical singer and had taken coaching to Pt. Jamini Ganguly and Legendary Sri Manabendra Mukherjee. Sister, Smt Madhupa Sanyal is vocalist and had learnt advanced lessons from Pt. Ajay Chakraborty at Shrutinandan. Musical culture is there at home since childhood. Musical gathering (Ganer Ashor) is very much common at home and sometimes everyone is deeply tuned into music, that even time passes from evening to late night on those homely musical occasions. During childhood, Riddhi has learn Tabla from famous teacher Sri Abhijit Barhouri at Malda. During those days, famous singer & Harmonium maestro, Sri Alok Bhadhury, used to come at our home at teach music. During his college life, Riddhi has started to learn Flute from his friend Sri Sajal Banerjee. That flute was metallic and holding technique was similar to Shehnai. Later on Riddhi has learned to play the Bamboo flute by self-practicing and performed in the college functions. During staying at USA (2007 – 2010), studying at various library at Minneapolis, he has learnt sheet music. He has performed at US, at the Minneapolis during Durga Puja festival organized by BAM. There he has played Rabindra Sangeet and North Eastern Bhatiali Music. Everyone has appreciated with the type of music and especially on Larger Flute (F#) they have first time observed at US. Feedback he received after function - "It's rare to have Indian flute / Bansuri in the US functions and it was awesome to listen to the Indian & North Eastern tunes". His wife Priyanka had accompanied on that function with Keyboard. Finally, he has made with musical Guruji, Sri D. Madhusudan at Jadavpur class during 2010. Since then it is all Guruji's guidance. Riddhi has performed classical music, Raga, Light classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, Bollywood Golden Era songs, Patriotic songs etc. on Flute & Harmonica in lot of places - During Durga Puja, Diwali & Maa Kali Puja at Kolkata, Uttarpara, Malda, Dasaswamedh Ghat, Varanasi, Function at Bangalore, Mangalore, etc. By profession, Riddhi is Sr. Architect in one of the largest Software Company. Staying in IT industry for 17 years, he has never stopped practicing or teaching music. He has performed in front of several customer visits and corporate functions. Once he had played Raga Hamsadhwani on Flute to the CIO & Board of directors of one of the largest Travel Company. He eyes were perplexed and he was like overwhelmed during the entire duration of concert. At the end, he told that, until now he has listened to this kind of concert in TV.
