Rik Simpson

Rik Simpson is an adrenalin junkie and former soldier who has dabbled in the occult and draws upon his experiences dealing with witch’s covens and Satanists to inject authenticity into his stories. He emphasizes he is not a member of these groups, but has observed their activities closely as part of his duties in “earlier days”. Currently the editor of a national military magazine, he also contributes to local interest magazines and newsletters. Rik lives in the burbs of Perth, Western Australia, but takes every opportunity to pursue his favourite pastimes of writing, SCUBA diving and bicycling. To kick start his creative juices, a nice shiraz is known to be a suitable catalyst. However it is his Muse who not only inspires him, but is a guiding force that helps him tap into his deepest thoughts and emotions, motivates him to overcome writer’s block and other obstacles, and keeps him focused on his ultimate goal of transforming his thoughts and emotions into compelling narratives; unless there is a distraction which cannot be refused – but that is a story yet to be told. 
