Dr Rob Collins is a Professor of Frontier Archaeology at Newcastle University (UK), and a self-confessed limes-o-phile (that is, a lover of Roman frontiers, not to be confused with the citrus fruit). He has written widely on Roman frontiers, artefacts, and Early Medieval Britain.
