Rob Vanstone

Rob Vanstone is honoured to be in the early stages of his second dream job – Senior Journalist and Historian with the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders. Previously, he spent 36 years at the Regina Leader-Post, covering sports of all sorts. He has written (or contributed to, in one instance) four books on the Roughriders. Most recently, he has documented the colourful history of hockey's maskless goalies in Brave Face, published by Triumph Books. A 2023 inductee into the Regina Sports Hall of Fame, Rob was presented with the Western Hockey League's Bob Ridley Award for Media Excellence in December of 2022. Rob and his wife, Chryssoula, are the proud owners, enablers and spoilers of a terrific terrier cross named Candy.
