Robert A Convissar

Dr. Convissar is a pioneer in the field of Laser Dentistry. One of the first general dentists to incorporate lasers into his practice, Dr. Convissar has been using lasers since 1990. He has circumnavigated the world 4 times, lecturing and teaching laser dentistry. His teaching has taken him from London to Florence to Tokyo to Hong Kong to Sydney and everywhere in between. Honors awarded to Dr. Convissar include Fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, International Academy of Dento-Facial Esthetics, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and Mastership in the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is one of only a handful of Registered Course Providers eligible to teach Laser Proficiency Courses under guidelines established at the University of California at San Francisco. Along with his textbooks, Dr. Convissar has contributed over a dozen peer-reviewed papers to the dental literature. Dr. Convissar practices laser, cosmetic and restorative dentistry in New York City with his wife and partner, Dr. Ellen Goldstein. He also serves as Director of Laser Dentistry at New York Hospital Queens, a primary teaching hospital of Weill-Cornell Medical School.
